Welcome to our gastric banding support group site. We have a number of groups across the South West committed to supporting both those that are planning or considering gastric banding (restrictive weight loss surgery), and those that have already had surgery.
For information and suitability for gastric banding, and weight loss surgery in general, we recommend the Avon Obesity Service (AOS). Many of our groups members have had surgery through, or used services from, AOS.
If you cannot find a group below that is local to you, please do get in contact - it may will be that a group is in the process of being set-up. Of course, we'd also be very glad to hear from you if you're thinking of establishing a new support group yourself!
Bristol and Beyond
